About Chris Lacrosse
Growing up, Chris has had only one single ambition, to be strong. This ranges from mastering every sport out there, to being strong enough to pick up people like they're grapes. No matter what type of sport it is, baseball, football, hockey, even ballet, he yearns to master each and every single sport out there. Many people ask him why he has such a big ambition to become the strongest, and his answer is always the same, to protect his friends. He knows that he can't be the sharpest tool in the shed, but he can always be the biggest and toughest tool there is. He's putting his whole career into sports, being the captain/star player of the football team at Tsunagari and soon is going to become an NFL player in the big leagues. He's even considered about doing the Olympics as well, but despite how much fun many of the other sports can be, his heart lies in football. He grew up in a pretty stable life and even has a dog of his own, but all of that is lost once he enters into the alternate realm. Being a man always on the front lines, he'll have to face danger head on so that he can protect the rest of the people he's grown to care about. The true test of strength wont be getting a ball to the end of the goal, or intercepting another player, but this time it's being the paladin he's been training up to become so he can protect his friends.

Inspirations
Funnily enough, I based Chris on 3 things.
1. Would be Chris Mclean from Total Drama Island
2. Would be Sonic The Hedgehog from his own name.
3. Raphael from Fire Emblem Three Houses
He does talk a bit like Sonic where I could definitely see him saying "Heh heh, chili dogs!", but if anything I started to make him more original and he lost a bit of the Sonic attributes and especially lost a lot of the Chris Mclean attributes. The only thing that carries over now of him would be the name, Chris Lacrosse which sounds like Chris Mclean. He does keep most of what he has from Rapheal, but honestly, Chris does feel like his own thing compared to all 3 of the characters.
Behind the Scenes
Creating Chris was honestly some of the most fun I had making a character. Sure all the characters are stereotypical, but that's sorta the point and it works wonders for Chris. He's big and loveable and competitive but unlike other jocks seen in media, he can be one of the best friends you've ever had. He's dumb but more to the degree where it's endearing and funny to see him try to understand stuff rather than him belittling and bullying others he doesnt understand. In the game version of Subliminarity, he's one of the only tank characters and honestly can be pretty overpowered when utilized correctly, but his effectiveness in strength still has its limits through that said intelligence. In the story as well, he does create some of the comedic moments, but that doesnt mean his emotional moments are lacking either. In fact, out of the group, he's one of the only characters who doesnt have trauma which can be a nice change of pace. Now that doesnt mean he doesn't have his own problems he has to deal with of course, but much like Melody and Nico, he one of the main characters that acts more like a motivator than anything. Overall though I really do love Chris and I think I made the most art of him so far, as he's become a bit of the poster boy for the series despite being the second character I made for Subliminarity.
